40th Fly-In Breakfast

CRESCO - The Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 40th annual Fly-In Breakfast on Sunday, Aug. 7 from 7:30 a.m.-noon, at Ellen Church Field (Cresco Airport).
The breakfast features omelets (or eggs anyway) and pancakes. Cost is $10 in advance (Cresco Chamber, Cresco B&T and CUSB Bank) and day of the event. Children under five and all pilots and passengers eat for free!
Besides a yummy breakfast, the big draw of the day is watching small engine planes landing and taking off as they come for breakfast. Folks can get a close-up view of the planes and talk to the pilots, who are happy to share their love of flying with interested individuals. Plane rides are also available.
The kids are always in awe of seeing emergency vehicles on display. This year is no different, as there will be a Cresco Fire Department truck and Regional Health Services of Howard County ambulance, if available.
When done with breakfast, stop at Beadle Park for the Fine Arts Show, taking place from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
