Abraham Lincoln to talk at Cresco Opera House

CRESCO - Just like he would have when he was running for president 160 years ago. He was elected leader of the United States on Nov. 6, 1860.

This prestigious man will be visiting Cresco Theatre and Opera House on Friday, Oct. 16 from 1:30-3 p.m. The event is sponsored by Cresco Public Library.

Abraham Lincoln was one of America’s greatest presidents, and today is one of our nation’s most beloved and esteemed historical figures. 

Mr. Lincoln will quote from his best-known speeches and writings, as well as his own inspiring story, of how he rose from a humble background to the highest office in the land through self-study, hard work, ambition and a strong moral character.

The program will last 60 minutes and will be followed by a question-and-answer period with photos available.
