CRESCO - It was announced during the recent virtual CIDC (Cresco Industrial Development Corporation)/ Cresco Area Chamber of Commerce virtual banquet that Steve and Mimi Stone’s Atomic Pizza Pub was named Business of the Year.
The couple has been in business since August 2017, nearly three-and-a-half years. They give back to the community by supporting local groups and clubs whenever they are able. “We are so thankful to provide a gathering place for all ages to enjoy,” Mimi said.
The executive board of CIDC felt Atomic Pizza Pub filled a big need in the community as another bar/restaurant after several businesses had closed. Filling that need made a positive impact in the area.
“The community, our customers and Atomic team members are the best and have shown so much love and support during this strange time,” she added about the changes needed during the pandemic.
If a business is to succeed, it needs to change with the times and come up with new ideas. “We are always thinking about ways to improve and keep things interesting so time will tell. Like us on Facebook to keep up to date on the latest Atomic news,” the couple said.
When they learned they were chosen as Business of the Year, the Stones noted, “We are so humbled and grateful for being nominated for this award and couldn’t do it without our Atomic team and the community’s support.”
Check them out at 134 N. Elm St. in Cresco. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 4-9 p.m. and 4-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
