Cresco - Locals may have seen 15-16 classic cars, along with about 25 people, at Beadle Park on Friday, Aug. 3.
The Coulee Classics Unlimited car club, with about 90 members, was on its way from Onalaska/LaCrosse to Clear Lake for the annual C.L.A.S.S. Car Show & Summer Dance Cruise that is taking place Aug. 3-4.
Spokesperson for the group, Dennis Borchert, said the club has been going to the show for nearly 20 years.
The group attends the car cruise on Friday night and the car show on Saturday. “There are about 1,000 cars for the cruise and 500-600 for the car show. We always stop in Cresco for a picnic lunch,” Borchert noted. Cresco is about the half-way mark.
The group will return through town on Sunday. Many times they stop at Beadle Park to check out the Fine Arts Show!
