CFC pool, hot tub open

Cresco - On Wednesday, June 10, Gov. Reynolds loosened more restrictions, which allowed pools to open on Friday, June 12.
Manager Wendy Bohr acknowledged Cresco Fitness Center has been waiting for the day restrictions were lifted since the pool was closed in March.
Hot tub
On Friday, June 12, only the hot tub opened. The hot tub may be relaxing to all users; it is especially needed for those with aches and pains, who have relied on it for their health for years, months or weeks at a time.
“Our hot tubbers have been chomping at the bit to get in there again,” Bohr said. But instead of allowing a maximum of 15 into the spa, only seven will be allowed at a time.
As in the past, as per state regulations, individuals can be in the hot tub for 10 minutes, out for half-an-hour and back in for 10 minutes.
Pool
Thomson Pool will open on Monday, June 22 with some restrictions. “Swimmers will still have to follow social distancing requirements, and those sixth grade or under will need to stay with family units,” she explained.
Swimming Lessons
Private lessons have been taking place through the month of June. Public lessons are likely to be available in July.
Ball Games
It will be a shortened season for Summer Rec. ball. A four-week program is planned, starting the week of June 22. Participants should sign up online by Wednesday, June 17, or shortly thereafter.
There is T-Ball (first and second grades), Pony Ball (third and fourth) and Softball or Baseball (fifth and sixth) for both boys and girls.
Arts & Crafts
Craft activities will not be held in groups. Kits can be picked up once each week at the Fitness Center from June 23-July 17. Age groups are by grades: PK-2, 3-4 and 5-6.
