Cresco’s first drive-in movie

The Cresco Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Back-to-School Family Fun Night at East Park on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m. The movie is “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” starring Johnny Depp and released in 2005.
There haven’t been many events taking place and an outdoor movie is the perfect activity that provides space to social distance.
Attendees can sit in their car and listen to the movie over their car radios. The frequency will be announced that night. Or bring a blanket or lawn chairs and listen to special speakers.
The Moo Mobile will be on location run by Fair Board members. In addition, Sterling Pharmacy will hand out free water and freezies.
What a fun way to start off the school year!
