Cresco Public Library’s Story Hour resumes, beginning Feb. 7

 

CRESCO - Children’s Story Hour at Cresco Public Library resumes Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 10-11 a.m. and continues through May in the Children’s Department (lower level) of the library. No registration is required.
Cresco Public Library Youth Services Librarian Arla Kafka said, “We were excited to have children come for the fall session, and we were thrilled with the number of people who came. We had 20-25 participants each week, new people and day care centers.”
Kafka said library volunteers were helpful with the fall Story Hour. She hopes the spring session will also feature a high turnout of children.
Children’s Story Hour at Cresco Public Library focuses on children preschool-age and younger. The event features stories, jokes, crafts and fun. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay with their children during the story hour.
The full schedule for story hour is as follows: Feb. 7: ‘Here We All Are’; Feb. 14: ‘Love & Kisses’; Feb. 21, ‘A Terrible Monster’; Feb. 28, ‘Pajama Party’; March 7, 'Dr. Seuss'; March 14, 'Alligators'; March 21, ‘Colors’; March 28, ‘Bunnies & Baskets’; April 4: ‘Surprise!’; April 11, ‘Friends’; April 18, ‘I Love Books’; April 25: ‘Growing’; May 2, ‘See You ‘Round Like a Donut’.
