Cresco - Jeffrey B. Campbell, Vice President - Operations, announced to suppliers Featherlite Trailers is closing its manufacturing facilities starting Friday, April 10 and with plans for starting back up on Monday, April 27.
The company will not be accepting any shipments until that time.
His letter stated, “Over the past month, we have been presented with many difficult decisions related to navigating our business through the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we have tried to balance our goal of producing and shipping top-quality trailers with the well-being of our employees.
“While we have been able to maintain that balance for the past month, we’ve now come to a point where it is necessary to pause our trailer production and close our offices for a period of time. The combination of the increasing disruptions to our material flow and the increasing number of positive cases of COVID-19 in our region have made this decision a necessity.”
He added the leadership committee will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will provide updates as the company moves forward.
