CRESCO - The issue of whether or not to require a mask for students and staff at Howard-Winneshiek CSD was again on the agenda at the monthly meeting on Nov. 16.
This was the third vote on the issue. In compliance with Gov. Kim Reynolds proclamation, board members voted to require masks for students and staff. The policy started on Tuesday, Nov. 17 and would continue until further notice. It was to be monitored by the board. Toni Johnson was the only nay, stating she felt masks were good, but only when worn correctly. She did not feel elementary students were able to do that on a consistent basis.
Masks are also required by the state to be worn for those attending sporting events.
