H.C. Hospice presents We Honor Veterans program

CRESCO - Howard County Community Hospice continues to partner with We Honor Veterans. On April 16, 2021, a Pinning Ceremony was held to recognize Veteran Martin Koudelka, who served in the Army.
Through the special We Honor Veterans salute, Hospice volunteers and staff pay tribute to the Hospice Veteran for his or her service to our nation.
Howard County Community Hospice presented Koudelka with the Iowa Hospice Veteran Partnership pin, a certificate of appreciation for service and a patriotic pillow case donated by the Thursday morning quilters. Hospice also presented Emma, his spouse, with a proud veteran spouse pin and patriotic star.
Present during the pinning ceremony were Hospice Volunteer Coordinator — Tamara Lickteig; Hospice Team Chaplin — Lisa Kammerer; Hospice Volunteer — Vickie Grube; Hospice RNs — Kerrie Rogne and Jayda Dietzenbach; Hospice Veteran Volunteers — Mark Grinhaug and Ricky Woods; Hospice Social Worker — Sue Eggerichs; Veterans Affairs — Marshall Rogne; and family and friends of Martin.
The couple also recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 23. The Koudelka home was filled with the aroma of flowers as Martin presented Emma with two dozen red roses and Hospice gave the couple a bouquet as well.
