High-speed chase ends in arrest of Indiana man

HOWARD COUNTY - On Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 11:08 p.m., Howard County Deputy Sheriff Milan Grubl attempted to stop a Jeep Grand Cherokee for erratic driving at Highway 9 near Iris Ave.
The vehicle took off westbound. The driver led Howard County deputies and Cresco police officers on a pursuit through Saratoga, southbound towards Elma, eastbound on A46 and finally northbound on Highway 63.
At 11:26, the pursuit ended just north of Bodensteiner Implement, north of Davis Corners. The driver of the Jeep was identified as Angel Ismael Herrera, 26, of Delphi, Ind. 
He was arrested for attempting to elude law enforcement, O.W.I. first offense, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, speeding and several stop sign violations. 
Herrera is being held in the Howard County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond.
