Howard County Bible Reading

Residents of Howard County have begun the Marathon Bible Read in the courthouse lawn, starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 7. The entire will be read until it is done, which will be sometime Sunday afternoon.

Chairs of the event are Julie Haslerud, Jimmy Sidebottom and Duane Heit.

Reader Gary Aspenson related, “A lot of readers, when reading from midnight to 6 a.m., can really feel the Holy Spirit.” He said it is very powerful to read the Bible out loud when it is still and peaceful in those wee hours of the morning.
