International Festival of Diversity, Culture

CRESCO - The first International Festival of Diversity and Culture is taking place at Crestwood, with the goal of successfully promoting diversity among students and the community.
It will take place on Monday, Nov. 8, from 12- 6 p.m. in the K-8 Building Gymnasium. Students will attend the event from 12-2:20 and the public is encouraged to attend from 3-6.
Various exhibits are planned to be included in the festival, aimed at promoting cultural diversity among different groups from all over the world. Traditions of the people, transmitted from generation to generation, promote mutual respect for cultural diversity.
At the festival, which will be held in an open-house format, each country/region will attempt to do this by showcasing their culture with booths, information, music, performances, food samples and interactive cultural activities.
It is sponsored by Cresco First Methodist Church and Howard-Winneshiek School District.
