CRESCO - Notre Dame School in Cresco hosted a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Museum in its gymnasium on Friday, Oct. 22.
The museum featured 10 different stations designed to teach students from pre-school through sixth grade about different aspects of STEAM.
The experience was provided by pre-school teacher Mrs. Julie Haskovec’s relatives and Knights of Columbus. Haskovec’s cousins, Rob Shea of Pennsylvania, Julie Gordan of Ohio and Colleen Shea-Brown of Washington donated money to the school in honor of their father, Bob Shea’s birthday. The experience was also presented in memory of deceased Shea family members.
Bob Shea went to school at Notre Dame High School and St. Joseph Elementary in Cresco. He is now a retired chemical engineer and lives in Virginia. Coming back to Cresco for class reunions is always important to Shea.
All of the students had a fun time learning about STEAM.
