Shop Local winners

“I never win anything,” exclaimed Holly O’Brien after she won the grand prize in the Times Plain Dealer’s Shop Local promotion. O’Brien won $60 in gift certificates to each local business that participated in the advertising campaign.

“I am excited to support our local businesses. I will be happy to get some new clothes. And I’ve been looking at something at Billmyers. When I told my Mom I had won, I said I’d buy them supper.”

She went on to say she planned on sharing her bounty with her niece and nephew.

“I am watching them, so I will probably get them something. I want to share the wealth.

“It is an honor to spend these gift certificates in this county that does so much for everyone.”

Ollendieck was surprised and excited as well to learn he had won $30 to each business. “I’ve shopped local more this year than others,” he said, adding with a smile, “I might have to share some of it . . .  a little bit, anyway.”
