Still celebrating St. Pat’s

Cresco - Since 2009 Cresco has had a tradition, thanks to the F.I.T. Running Club, of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in a big way with the Brew and Stew.
The club decided to take a year off and regroup.
But others picked up the shamrock to continue one of the area’s favorite holidays.
The Pub is carrying on the food and beverage portion on Friday, March 17, while Cresco Fitness Center stepped up to have a 5K run to take care of the exercise part of the event, on Saturday, March 18.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, true Irishmen and those who are Irish-for-the-day are invited to wear a favorite St. Patrick’s Day outfit and join the fun! Irish stew will be served, along with green beer all day!
Also from 6-8 p.m. is a sing-along of Irish-themed songs. Barb Holstrom, the resident music teacher, will play on the bar’s piano and asks others to bring their musical instruments to play along!
From 8 p.m. to midnight DJ Joe will have music and karaoke to carry on the evening’s theme of “Eat, Drink, Sing and be Merry!”
