Two vehicle accident

LOURDES - On Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at 11:37 a.m., the Howard County Sheriff's Office took a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Key Ave. and 200th St., southwest of Lourdes.
Christopher Dunn, age 20, of Elma, was northbound on Key Ave. with his 2010 Ford F-150, when he failed to stop at the stop sign at 200th St. He struck an eastbound 2016 Dodge Caravan, driven by 44-year-old Sandra Combs from Waterloo.
Combs’ vehicle came to rest in the ditch, and Dunn’s vehicle remained on the roadway. Both vehicles were considered a total loss.
Dunn was uninjured, and Combs was taken to a hospital in New Hampton for non-life-threatening injuries. Dunn was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
Assisting at the scene was Elma Fire and Rescue, Riceville Ambulance Service, Howard County First Responders and Northeast Iowa Motors.
