Young Writers’ Workshop

—Theme is ‘Plot Twists & Elbow Grease’

CRESCO - Parents, here is a chance to nurture your child’s interest in writing.
Accomplished author Carol Edwards is offering a summer workshop for youth 10-14 at Cresco Public Library. She will provide six hours of guided writing. Each child will be able to work with her as a published author, editor and educator.
This will be an opportunity for young writers to explore expressing themselves through writing, while improving their skill level.
These workshops will guide the young writer through several lessons and steer them down the path toward greater confidence in their writing. She will mentor the young writer’s skill and love of writing.
Participants will enjoy connecting with other writers in their age group.
There is a $100 fee to register, which can be done online at www.caroledwardsauthor .com.
Students will need to answer a few questions to help Edwards prepare for the workshops.
Who knows what these young writers will be inspired to accomplish. Perhaps a  future best-selling author will be born of these workshops. Or it will encourage some to become a journalist, marketing major or just someone who likes to write for personal reasons.
Whatever the writers take home from the workshop will certainly help them on the journey of life.
 Program dates are Tuesdays, June 13, 20 and 27 from  1-3 p.m.
Registration deadline is Friday, June 2.
