Cedar Falls - Eileen Mae (Kach) Trouten, age 78, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery in Kendallville, Iowa.
Eileen was the only child born to Percy and Margaret Kach on Oct. 12, 1939 in Cresco, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Crestwood High School, Cresco. After graduation she worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
On June 18, 1960, she was united in marriage to Jack Trouten in Cresco. To this union two sons, Michael and Brian were born. Jack and Eileen moved from Rochester to Illinois and worked at Park Ridge Hospital. In 1970 they moved to Cedar Falls, where she became an avid crafter, attending many craft shows for over 25 years.
Eileen loved having her sons close. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and trips to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Jack, and son, Michael, both of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian, and her parents, Percy and Margaret Kach.
