CEDAR RAPIDS - Sylvia R. Pecinovsky, age 94, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Protivin, Iowa, died on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at her home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 at Holy Trinity Parish in Protivin with Father Donald Hertges officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday morning at the church. Online condolences may be left at Hindtfuneralhomes.com.
Sylvia Rose Pecinovsky was born on April 16, 1927 to Alois and Lucy (Koudelka) Pecinovsky in Protivin. She attended Rudolphinum grade school and grew up in Protivin with her siblings; brother, Robert (Mary) Pecinovsky; and sisters, Mildred Sass-Petersen and Irma (Jerry) Meyer.
Sylvia is survived by her sister, Mildred of Stewartville, Minn. and many nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by her card playing friends and family.
