APPLE VALLEY - Teri Jo Carver, age 65 of Apple Valley, Minn. passed away on Jan. 31, 2019 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn., after a brief battle with cancer.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, Iowa on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019 at 11:30 a.m., with a small family luncheon following at the Cresco VFW.
Teri was born on Aug. 1, 1953, in Cresco. She graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1971 and attended Buena Vista University and University of South Dakota, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Special Education. She taught in education for 39 years.
Teri’s children were the love of her life . . . until the four grandkids came along. In retirement, she loved to travel and always took her dog, Rocco. She had the uncanny ability to talk to anyone, had an infectious laugh and will be missed dearly.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Angela (Josh) Borchardt and Ashley (Joe) Bougie; mother, Maryeau (Lomas) Carver; brothers, Jeff (Nancy) and Kip (Rochel); grandkids, Toby, Roland, Chae and Clay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Carver, and grandparents, Baird and Mary Lomas of Cresco and William and Eva Carver.
