Terry Engle, 66

HARMONY - Terry Engle, age 66, of Harmony, Minn. passed away on July 11, 2021 at Gundersen Care in Harmony.
Terry will be laid to rest at the Columbarium Niche at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery on Aug. 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. At 3 p.m., a celebration of life will be held at Granger/Florenceville Long Branch. All who knew Terry are welcome.
Terry was the first born child of Lowell Engle and Sally (Sandvik) Engle on May 20, 1954 in Ft. Campbell, Ky. After Lowell’s discharge from the Army, they moved to Minneapolis, Minn. There his sister, Debra, and brother, Douglas, were born. His parents divorced when was young, and they both remarried.
Lowell married Kathryn (Barnes) Engle. To that union, three girls were born, Becky, Susan and Michelle. the young family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. They remained married the rest of their lives.
Sally married Garth Bestor, and to that union Ty, Tonya and Chad were born. All six children grew up together on the farm outside Harmony.
After graduating from Harmony High School in 1973, Terry passed the physical to join the Army. It turned out to be the greatest adventure in his life, being stationed in Germany. He was proud that he served.
Upon completing his tour, he returned to the Granger, Minn. area. There he found work at Harmony’s Broadwater Plumbing and later Bestor Plumbing.
Terry like living in Granger as it was close to his favorite swimming hole and his nephews. He collected movies and became the local movie library for many. He was a happy-go-lucky guy with a love for chicken — especially KFC. 
When his health started to decline, he took an apartment in Preston. Unfortunately, he lost a leg to sepsis and had to relocate again.
He moved to Harmony Manor and, with help from a motorized scooter, gained mobility. With his mobility, he made his rounds all over town to watch construction crews.
In Harmony, Terry fell and broke his arm and went to Tomah, Wisc. VA for rehab. In 2020, he transitioned to Gundersen Care in Harmony just before COVID. He was glad to be back in Harmony as he knew a lot of familiar faces from his plumbing days.
Terry leaves behind his siblings, DebRae Engle Sandvik, Doug (Mary Jo) Engle, Becky (Garth) Stowe, Susan (Bob) VanZeben, Ty (Dacia) Bestor, Tonya Bestor and Chad (Jill) Bestor; 10 nephews; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelly (Adam) Willden; nephew, Tory Josephson; and parents, Lowell and Kay Engle and Garth and Sally Bestor.
