Baseball playoff pairings set for Class 1A, 2A

CRESCO - The Iowa high school baseball playoff pairings for Class 2A (Crestwood) and Class 1A (Turkey Valley) were released recently.

In Class 2A Substate 3 District 5, Crestwood (2-16) will face Osage (13-5) on Saturday, July 6 at 7 p.m. at Osage High School. The winner will play Forest City (14-5) on Tuesday, July 9 at 5 p.m. at Mikkelson Park in New Hampton. The winner of this contest will advance to the District 5 Championship game on July 13 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined.

In Class 1A Substate 4 District 8, Turkey Valley (5-13) will play Riceville (11-12) on Saturday, July 6 at 5 p.m. at Shooky Fink Field in New Albin. The winner will play either Lansing Kee (18-9) or Edgewood-Colesburg (3-12) on July 9 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined. The District 8 Championship game will be played on July 13 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined.
