Crestwood baseball team drops two against Waukon, split with Comets, falls to Osage

CRESCO - Two rough games on offense hurt the Crestwood baseball team as the Cadets dropped both games of a doubleheader against Waukon, 0-11 and 1-3, on Monday, July 1.

Hosting Charles City in a doubleheader on July 3, the Cadets crushed the Comets in game one, 9-2; and lost to Charles City in game two, 8-13. Complete Cadet statistics from both games against the Comets were not available at press time.

Playing Osage on the road in the first round of the Class 2A District 5 Tournament on July 6, the Cadets struggled on offense as the Green Devils won, 5-0. Osage (14-5) will advance to the district semifinals against Forest City (14-5) on July 9. The loss ended Crestwood’s season at 4-23.
