No. 6 Algona trips No. 11 Crestwood softball team in Region Final

ALGONA - The No. 6 Algona Bulldogs scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and held on to defeat the No. 11 Crestwood softball team, 2-0, in the Class 3A Region 6 Final on Monday, July 20, in Algona. The loss ended Crestwood's season with an impressive 15-1 overall record. Algona will advance to the Class 3A State Tournament next week in Fort Dodge.
