No. 8 Cadets trip Waverly-SR, 14-10

WAVERLY - After grabbing a 14-0 halftime lead, the Class 2A No. 8 Cresetwood football team held off a second half rally by Waverly-SR to earn a 14-10 win over the Go-Hawks on Friday, Sept. 13. Austin Johnson made a key interception for the Cadets with 3:42 left in the fourth, and Crestwood sacked the W-SR quarterback on the final play of the game to clinch the win. Crestwood improved to 2-1 overall while Waverly-SR dropped to 1-2. A complete story of the game will be in the Sept. 18 issue of the Times Plain Dealer.
