Softball playoff pairings released for Crestwood, Turkey Valley

CRESCO - The Iowa High School Softball playoff pairings were released for all five classes by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union on June 24, which includes Crestwood in Class 3A and Turkey Valley in Class 1A.

In Class 3A Region 6, No. 11 Crestwood (17-4) will play Forest City (6-14) at home at 7 p.m. on July 6. The winner of this game will play either Waukon (10-15) or New Hampton (8-16) at Crestwood on July 9 at 7 p.m. in the semifinals. The Region Final will be played on July 12 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined. Other Class 3A first round games include: No. 6 Anamosa (22-6) vs. North Fayette Valley (8-13); and Oelwein (10-10) vs Monticello (11-12).

In Class 1A Region 6, Turkey Valley (14-8) will play Nashua-Plainfield (6-15) on July 6 at 7 p.m. at Nashua. The winner will play North Butler (15-4) on July 7 at North Butler at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The winner of this contest will face either Kee (10-11), Ed-Co (9-23) or Central Elkader (8-13) in the Region 6 semifinals on July 9 at North Butler at 7 p.m. The Region Final will be played on July 12 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined.
