Turkey Valley girl cagers trip Lansing Kee in region tourney

WAUKON - The Turkey Valley girls' basketball team held off a late charge by the Lansing Kee Hawks to earn a 55-52 win in the Class 1A Region 3 Quarterfinals on Feb. 18. The win allows the Trojans (19-4) to advance to play Central Elkader (20-3) in the region semifinals on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at North Fayette Valley. The winner of this game will play either St. Ansgar (19-2) or Clarksville (20-3) in the region final on Feb. 26 at either New Hampton or Charles City.
