TV girls' golf team wins UIC championship

LUANA - The Turkey Valley Girls’ Golf Team posted a team score of 457 to capture the Upper Iowa Conference golf championship on May 11 at the Tri-City Golf and Country Club near Luana.
The last time the TV girls’ team won the UIC title was in 2008 under long-time Coach Bob Huinker.
Ali Hoffert finished third overall for the Trojans with an 18-hole total of 107 (51-56). Kylie Wurzer took fourth at 110 (54-56), Tess Franzen was seventh 114 (63-51) and Raegan Kime was 15th at 126 (67-59). Other TV scores included: Emma Hanson 130 (61-69) and Mariah Throndson 140 (70-70).
