Cahalan joines the HCBT, Cresco Area Chamber Office

CRESCO - Cresco native Abby Cahalan has joined the Howard County Business and Tourism team as a Community and Business Development Specialist! 

Cahalan will help by organizing events, welcoming tourists, and working with local businesses. 

Her previous work experience includes working at the Decorah Newspaper for  the last seven years. As a recent graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College studying Business Administration, Cahalan is excited to bring her skills and education into her new role. She enjoys “helping communities” and is excited to get the opportunity to impact people everyday. She looks forward to “getting to meet everyone” and spending her days supporting Howard County’s business and tourism.

In her free time, Cahalan enjoys camping, reading, quilting, spending time with her dogs, and tending to her chickens.  

“I'm excited to take on this role for Cresco and Howard County,” she explains,  “I have met so many wonderful business owners and community members who are very passionate about the community. It's an amazing opportunity to work with them all, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
