CRESCO - Residents of Cresco may have noticed a new patrol officer on the streets recently.
Harry Kitchen, a native of Lime Springs, joined the Cresco Police Department on August 10th. Before fully diving into his duties, Kitchen will be attending the Police Academy at Camp Dodge in Johnston from August 31st to mid-December. He will then resume his full duties as a patrol officer when he returns.
Kitchen's connection to the community runs deep, as he grew up in Lime Springs and graduated from Crestwood in 2019. Expressing his eagerness to serve, Kitchen stated, "I'm excited to serve and be a part of bringing the community together."
Adding to his recent milestones, Kitchen married his wife Allison on August 26th of this year. The couple is blessed with two sons; 7-year-old Kyson and 18-month-old Krew. With his strong ties to the area and commitment to service, Officer Kitchen is poised to make a positive impact in the Cresco community.
