CRESCO - Randy “Race” Reinhart, age 6,5 of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on Sunday Dec. 25, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.
A visitation will be held at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Randy Eugene Reinhart was born on Aug. 19, 1957, in Cresco to Lyle and Violette (Krueger) Reinhart. He attended Howard-Winneshiek Schools, graduating in 1975.
He was united in marriage to Linda Leeps and to this union, a son, Eric was born. They later divorced. On July 17, 1993, he married Maureen McGee and welcomed a daughter and son, Kayla and Joey.
He was a long-time employee of Balks/Bruenings for 40-plus years, doing a variety of jobs. His hobbies were fishing, spending time with family and friends and watching sports and Westerns. He enjoyed going on vacations and listening to 80s music.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; son, Eric (Monica) of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; daughter, Kayla; son, Joey of Cresco; honorary son, Dustin (Katy) Yu; two grandchildren, Nathan and Sofia; siblings, Dalene (Ken) Ollendieck, Sandra Reinhart, Debra (Larry) Hart and Teri (Dan) Vagts; brother-in-law, Larry Hamand; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Gerald and Agnes McGee; siblings Karen Hamand and Beverly (Zack) Neubauer; and a niece, in infancy.
