Times Plain Dealer's Summer Intern Capturing Moments and Community Spirit

   With a love for photography, it's no surprise that Hallie's favorite class is focused on capturing moments through the lens. Looking towards the future, Hallie plans to pursue a career in dental hygiene, setting her sights on college for further education.

   This past school year Hallie also participated in Wrestling and Track & Field, as a Junior it was her first year trying both sports, showing that she is willing to try new things and seek out new experiences.

   Determined to gain valuable work experience and enhance her college applications, Hallie was drawn to the internship opportunity at the newspaper as it combines her love of photography and space to get out in the community. Since moving from Minnesota to Iowa in her sophomore year, Hallie has embraced new challenges and opportunities eagerly, immersing herself in the community.

   Most excited about covering the fair this summer, Hallie's main goal with this internship is to become more involved in the area she now calls home. With a curiosity about a variety of fields, Hallie saw the internship as a chance to explore different perspectives and employment opportunities in the area, all while having fun and learning valuable skills along the way.

   As she navigates through this internship, Hallie's journey is not just about reporting the news but about experiencing the heart and soul of the community. Through her lens, Hallie captures the essence of our stories, connecting us with the spirit of our shared experiences. With a drive for exploration and a desire to make a difference, Hallie Vissers embodies the spirit of a true community journalist, seeking to shine a light on the stories that matter most.
