Lime Springs Betterment Foundation Seeks Community Support for New Brown Park Lodge

LIME SPRINGS - The Lime Springs Betterment Foundation (LSBF) was established in 2022 with the intention to bring the community together and better the area that they live and play in. Since its inception, the 501(c)3 non-profit Foundation has been dedicated to improving the community through volunteerism, local support, and projects that enhance the quality of life for residents. 

   The Brown Park Lodge project is perhaps the most ambitious undertaking yet, offering a much-needed gathering space for local residents to host events, meetings, and celebrations. The facility will include indoor seating for 20 to 40 people while being able to utilize the existing outdoor shelter for an additional 20 to 40 guests, making it ideal for various community and personal activities.

   Since launching the fundraising campaign earlier this year, the foundation has raised $64,765 towards the project, with CUSB Bank generously contributing $30,000. In addition to the $30,000 donation that was made this past week, they are offering an additional $30,000 as a matching gift for qualifying donations made by community members. This matching challenge will help stretch the fundraising efforts even further.

   In the current plans for the Brown Park Lodge, it is set to construct a 30 foot by 20 foot addition to the existing Brown Park Shelter, offering
