CRESCO - Susan Jean Shaver, 63, passed away on Feb. 23, 2021.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home.
Susan was born on Dec. 11, 1957 in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Elvira Shaver.
She had a lifelong love of nature and animals and had a curiosity and humor about her that was very endearing. Susan lived an interesting life and spent a lot of time with her creative interests, including fine arts and painting, growing flowers, jewelry crafting and yarn. She loved making special gifts for her family and friends. She stayed young at heart in spite of her long battle with cancer.
She will be remembered lovingly for her creative life and spirited personality.
Susie is survived by her dear friend and companion, Neil Theile; her children, Shena Collins, Corey Blomgren and Josh (Angela) Blomgren; sisters, Deb Terhune, Pam Neubauer and Patty Shaver; and Uncle Don Foley. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elvira Shaver and grandparents, Bill and Georgene Foley and Charles and Violet Shaver.
