Crestwood girls' track team wins NFV Meet

WEST UNION - Cold weather and a strong wind did not bother the Crestwood girls’ track team on Friday, April 4 as the Cadets grabbed first place at the North Fayette Valley Early Bird Meet with 164 points.
NFV took second place with 124 points, Oelwein snagged third at 84.5 and Turkey Valley was fourth with 60 points.
Lily Troendle grabbed gold for the Cadets in the 100 meter dash in a time of 13.49 seconds. Olivia Johnson was fourth at 14.14.
Isabella Schlatter was second in the 200 meters in 28.09 and Mea Shelton took third in 28.23.
Bryleigh Slavin was second in the 400 meters in 1:09.78. Ella Dennler took third in the 800 meters in 2:48.98.
Laney Peter was second in the 1500 meters in 5:34.52. Ava Daley took second in the 3000 meters in 12:47.72.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Charley Curtis, Taylor Reis, Lily Troendle and Aubrey Mannery was first in 54.49.
The 4x200 team of Curtis, Ella Otters, Troendle and Mannery took golf in 1:52.63.
The 4x800 team of Ella Dennler, Lexus Dohlman, Slavin and Lola Millage placed second in 11:41.75.
The sprint medley team of Ava Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Keira Shea and Hadley Riehle finished second in 2:02.97.
Crestwood’s distance medley team of Schlatter, Mea Shelton, Reis and Peter took first in 4:43.21.
Isabella Schlatter won gold in the long jump at 17 feet. Korey Hrdlicka took gold in the shot put at 37-3.5.
