Crestwood track teams perform well at Decorah Indoor meet

 DECORAH - Competing in the first indoor meet of the season on Saturday, March 16 at the Decorah Invitational at Luther College, the Crestwood girls’ and boys’ track teams gave solid performances overall. 
No team scores from the meet were recorded. Schools that competed included: Crestwood, Decorah, Holmen (Wis.), LaCrosse Logan (Wis.) and Onalaska (Wis.).
In the girls’ meet, Cadet senior Kinze Shea won gold in the 800 meters in a time of 2:37.92 and placed second in the 3000 meters in 11:31.56. Isabella Schlatter won the long jump with a distance of 15 feet, 11 inches.
Korey Hrdlicka was second in the shot put event with a toss of 33-4. Charley Curtis grabbed fifth place in the 55 meter dash in a time of 7.74 seconds. Laney Peter was second in the 1500 meters in 5:31.66. Ella Bergan was fourth in the long jump at 4-6. The Cadets’ 4x200 relay team of Charley Curtis, Olivia Johnson, Lily Troendle and Aubrey Mannery was second in 1:53.51.
In the boys’ meet, Alex Johnson was third for the Cadets in the 55 meter hurdles in 9.52. Dashel Donlan won gold in the 200 meters in 23.87. Nathan Ahern took first in the 800 meters in 2:06.79. 
Brock Voyna nabbed first in the shot put with a toss of 44 feet. Sam Brace was fourth in the 3200 meters in 12:24.06. Crestwood’s 4x200 relay team of Robby Ollendieck, Spencer Kitchen, Nate Mahr and Dashel Donlan took first in 1:37.26. Crestwood’s 4x200 relay team of Alex Loden, Alex Johnson, Kitchen and Ahern placed second in 3:46.90. Crestwood’s 4x800 relay team of Dominic Bigalk, Parker Rice, Keaton Vobr and Caleb Buchheit took second in 10:25.07.
