New Hampton defeats Crestwood gridders, 13-7

CRESCO - New Hampton scored a late third quarter touchdown to break a seven-all tie and held off a late drive by Crestwood to defeat the Cadets, 13-7, on Friday, Oct. 11 at home. The Chickasaws took a 7-0 lead midway through the second quarter before Crestwood tied the game at seven-all with 2:34 left in the second on a six-yard touchdown run by Reece Wilson and the extra point kick by Carter Henry. The loss dropped Crestwood's record to 3-4 while New Hampton improved to 4-3. Complete statistics will be in the Oct. 16 issue of the Times Plain Dealer.
