AT&T tower ready in February

Rich Jones of Rich’s Electric & Dryer Service, located at Davis Corners, has an addition to his property . . . a cell phone tower! Construction began in October, but wet weather delayed building the structure.

Jones said he has a 20-year lease with Farmers Telephone Cooperative of South Carolina, who in turn has a contract with AT&T for wireless service.

The tower went up on Jan. 16-17. Jones said the company wants it to be operational in February.
