Lime Springs Endowment Fund named 'Organization of the Year'

CRESCO - This year, the Lime Springs Endowment Fund will be proudly recognized with the prestigious Organization of the Year award, a testament to the significant positive impact they have made for their community and the lives they touch.

Lime Springs is a quaint, tight-knit community nestled in the picturesque landscape of Northeast Iowa. Like many small towns, its residents often find themselves anxiously contemplating the future amidst challenging circumstances. As the COVID-19 pandemic began to unfold, leading to widespread lockdowns and uncertainty, a handful of dedicated citizens from Lime Springs devised a heartfelt plan to uplift their beloved town. Thus, the Lime Springs Endowment Fund was born, a beacon of hope aimed at safeguarding the community they cherish.

 The seed money to ignite this fund came from the generosity of a few local residents, who believed in the importance of investing in their community's future. Remarkably, just a year later, their collective efforts blossomed into an impressive sum of $90,000. With an additional $10,000 donation from the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, the fund exceeded the remarkable milestone of $100,000 within its first year. This financial foundation became a vital lifeline for residents, ensuring that friends and neighbors could continue to thrive in Lime Springs.

 The Endowment Fund has become a treasured resource, providing essential opportunities for engagement and enrichment for all community members, regardless of age. Residents young and old can benefit from innovative ideas that foster connection and growth. One passionate citizen remarked, "It's important to invest in your own community because it gives back to you. This is a place where you can raise a family, feel safe, and access essential amenities. It is crucial to preserve these qualities for future generations."
