RAGBRAI® Alert

CRESCO - Members of the community may have received calls from people coming to town during RAGBRAI® asking about  housing. We ask you to direct them to the RAGBRAI® Housing Committee to add them to the housing request list at www.crescochamber.com. By going through the formal process, we can insure that all guests are registered  participants in RAGBRAI® and keep an accurate record of emergency contacts. 

If a rider is not registered, that means they have not signed the RAGBRAI® Waiver and Release of Liability. Therefore, anyone in the community who houses unregistered riders opens themselves to full liability for whatever may happen  when that rider is at their home.

Please notify the RAGBRAI® Housing Committee if you have already accepted riders to be guests in your home. All riders requesting housing shall provide a wristband number as proof of their registration. Fill out a Host Sign-Up form found on the Cresco Chamber website.

The Housing Committee has three main responsibilities:

1. Recruit local residents to house registered riders in their home or on their property.

2. Receive requests from riders and match them with housing volunteers.

3. Keep a database of hosts and registered riders that have been matched.

Please contact the RAGBRAI® Housing Committee if you are willing to host registered riders in your home or on your property. Many volunteers will be needed to fill all of the requests!
