Cadet wrestlers win district title, advance five to State

NEW HAMPTON - The Crestwood wrestling team had a great day at the Class 2A District Tournament on Feb. 15 as the Cadet won the team title with 115 points and advanced five individuals to the State Tournament on Feb. 20-22 in Des Moines. Nathaniel Bigalk (106 pounds), Carter Fousek (113), Treyton Burnikel (220) Wyatt Scheidel (285) all earned first place to punch their ticket to State. At 132, Chase Thomas placed second to earn a trip to State. Complete statistics will be in the Feb. 19 issue of the Times Plain Dealer.
