PLEASANT PRAIRIE - Deon Michael Scott of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, age 40, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019. 

A private family memorial service to celebrate this wonderful young man will be held at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Protivin with burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

Deon was born in Waukegan, Ill. to Pam O’Brien and Danny Scott on Oct. 29, 1979.

He attended North Chicago High School and Mario Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Illinois, where he became a licensed cosmetologist.

Deon’s daughter, Kaley Scott was born in 1998 and was the light of his life. He enjoyed spending time with her and was also generous in sharing her with his relatives in Iowa for summer vacations.

Deon was a young man very strong in his faith, whose family was most important to him. He loved his daughter, brother, parents and grandparents. He had a special place in his heart for Grandfather Amby and Grandmother Irene, who were also blessed to be his godparents. They are all reunited together in the glory of the Lord.

Deon’s trademark glowing smile and kindness will be everlasting to everyone who knew him. His smile lit up the room, and people always gravitated to his warm and loving way.

He was a master talent barber; everyone wanted Deon to do their hair. At an early age, he was also accepted to attend a special school for gifted children in Wisconsin. He excelled far beyond his years at an early age. He shared a common love of the Cubs with Grandfather Amby, and you could always hear the baseball conversations with the two 

whenever they were together. His love of the Czech kolaches was surely inherited from Grandmother Irene.

Survivors include daughter, Kaley Scott of Lindenhurst, Ill.; brother, Aaron (Kendyra) Scott of Panama, Okla.; mother, Pamela (Frank) O’Brien of Lake Geneva, Wis.; father, Danny Scott of Panama; Liz Martin (mother to Kaley Scott) of Lindenhurst; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Deon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amby and Irene O’Brien and Tilton and Inez Scott, and his uncles, Felton Scott and Darnell Scott.
