Elma -  Joyce Elaine (Bechtolt) Andrews Dunlavey, 85, of Elma, Iowa, formerly of Monroe, Wis. passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Colonial Manor of Elma. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe, with Pastor Dennis Jarrard officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences can be made to the family at: shriner111.com

Joyce was born on Aug. 16, 1931 to Earl and Freda (Wenger) Bechtolt in Monroe. She married her first love, James Andrews on June 4, 1953 in Argyle, Wis. After his passing in 1968, she married Joseph Dunlavey, Sr. on March 25, 1973 in Orangeville, Ill.

Joyce was a graduate of Monroe High School and was a licensed CNA, having worked at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe for several years. She was a member of Laurel Street Community Church in Freeport, Ill. 

Joyce enjoyed crocheting, camping, spending time with family, races and playing cards. 

She is survived by her children, Ervin (Rhonda) Andrews, Elaine (Kevin) Andrews and Pam (David) Krahmer; stepchildren, Joseph (Joanne) Dunlavey, Jr., Michael (Martha) Dunlavey, Patrick (Pam) Dunlavey, Gary Dunlavey and Colleen (Scott) Youtzy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Paul (Wanda) Bechtolt and David Bechtolt. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Andrews and Joseph Dunlavey; daughter, Karen Davis, infant daughter, Freda Mae; brother, Daniel Bechtolt; and two grandchildren.
