CRESCO - Larrie J. Hove, age 69, of Cresco, Iowa, died on Thursday, Nov, 28, 2019, at home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Father Jacob Rouse officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service on Monday. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Larrie Jo Hove was born on Jan. 14, 1950, in Cresco, the son of Marion and Lillian (Frey) Hove. After graduating from high school, he began farming with his father. He enjoyed milking cows and helping with other chores around the farm.
Opportunity Homes began providing Larrie with compassionate care after the death of his mother. At this time, he also began working at Spectrum Industries. When he retired and moved to town, he continued his love of the outdoors by growing a large vegetable garden.
Larrie is survived by his brothers, Tommie (Maggie) Hove of Cresco and Terrie Hove of Cresco; nephew, John Hove of Decorah, Iowa; niece, Grace Hove of Columbia, Mo.; and great-niece Avah Hove of Decorah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lillian Hove.
