Crestwood to host baseball clinic on April 16

 CRESCO - Crestwood High School is scheduled to host the Crestwood Youth and Coaches Baseball Clinic on Saturday, April 16 for all area youth coaches and Crestwood area players in second grade through 12th grade.
The clinic is free. Those interested should RSVP to Gary Steffen at his e-mail: gsteffen@howard-winn.k12.ia.us. Students are asked to bring a glove, bat, baseball pants or sweat pants, baseball hat and indoor or outdoor shoes.
The clinic is set to take place at the high school baseball field. If there is bad weather, it will be held in the high school or junior high gym.
Times for each session are as follows: Session 1: 9-11:15 a.m. - students in grades two to five and coaches; Session 2: 11:30-1:30 p.m. - grades six to eight and coaches; Session 3: 1:45-4 p.m. - grades nine to 12.
Kent Paul, a former coach who had worked with area youth through the Minnesota Twins organization, will instruct students about the necessary skills that will help coaches coach and players play.
 Player sessions will put the drills into practice during all three sessions. Coaches are welcome to attend all three sessions.
