Four Cadets win first round matches at State Wrestling Tourney

DES MOINES - Crestwood wrestlers Anders Kittelson (106 pounds), Carter Fousek (126), Chase Thomas (138) and Treyton Burnikel (220) all won their first round matches at the Class 2A State Wrestling Tournament on Thursday, Feb. 18 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Kittelson and Fousek both won major decisions. Thomas and Burnikel both recorded pins in round one. Clay Schemmel (145) lost his first round match but came back to win by fall in the first round consolation match. Hunter Bye (160) and Landen Schemmel (195) both lost in the first round and in the consolation round.
