Four Crestwood girls capture NEIC honors

CRESCO - Four members of the Crestwood girls’ basketball team earned Northeast Iowa All-Conference honors for the 2019-20 season.
Senior Sharon Goodman and senior Laken Lienhard nabbed First Team honors. This season marked the third year in a row Goodman earned First Team honors. Senior Shelby Pisney was named to the Second Team and senior Mattie Slavin grabbed Honorable Mention. 
Goodman and Lienhard were named to the Class 3A Northeast All-District Team by the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association. Goodman was also named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Girls’ Academic All-State Team.
The Cadets finished the season at 18-5 overall, including 10-2 and second place in the NEIC. Waverly-SR won the conference title at 12-0 (20-2 overall).
Goodman led the Cadets this season in scoring with 621 points, good for an average of 27.0 points per game, was first in rebounds (249), had 38 assists, 11 steals and was first with 100 blocks. She concluded her Crestwood basketball career by finishing first in points scored (1798), first in rebounds (817) and first in blocks (266).
Lienhard was second in points scored with 269, was second in three-pointers made with 33, led the team in free throw percentage (87.7 percent, 50 for 57), had 91 rebounds, led the team with 141 assists and had 32 steals.
Pisney tallied 121 total points, led the team with 34 three-pointers, had 54 rebounds, 93 assists and 38 steals. Slavin tallied 71 points, had 62 rebounds, 26 assists and 19 steals.
