Girls’ basketball playoff pairings set

CRESCO/JACKSON JCT - The girls’ basketball playoff pairings for Class 3A (Crestwood) and 1A (Turkey Valley) have been released by the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union.
In Class 3A Region 7, Crestwood (7-12) will play Dubuque Wahlert (13-6) at Wahlert on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the first round. The winner will play either Monticello (15-5) or New Hampton (7-10) on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at Wahlert. The region final is scheduled for Feb. 18 at a site to be determined. In Class 1A Region 6, Turkey Valley (14-5) will host West Central on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in round one. The winner will play either Maquoketa Valley (12-9) or Central City (4-18) on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The semifinals are scheduled for Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at Central Elkader. The region final will be played on Feb. 22 at a site to be determined.
