Girls' basketball playoff pairings set for Crestwood, Turkey Valley

CRESCO - The girls' basketball tournament playoff pairings for Crestwood (Class 3A) and Turkey Valley (1A) were recently released by the Iowa Girls' High School Athletic Union.

In Class 3A Region 3, Crestwood (11-4) will play Union (3-12) at Crestwood at 7 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the first round. The winner will play either New Hampton (9-6) or Waterloo Columbus (2-13) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Crestwood in the region semifinal. The winner of this contest will play either Osage (16-0), Hampton-Dumont (7-9), Forest City (10-7) or Garner-Hayfield-Ventura (9-9) in the Region 3 Final at 7 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Charles City.

In Class 1A Region 2, Turkey Valley (9-6) will play West Central (1-14) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 at Turkey Valley. The winner will play Lansing Kee (13-3) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Waukon. The winner of this game will play either Tripoli (12-5), North Butler (5-10) or Nashau-Plainfield (1-15) in the region semifinal at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 at West Union. The Region 2 Final is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 at West Union.
